The core objective of this thesis was to raise awareness among
the general public about dementia and dispel misconceptions
surrounding the condition, with the ultimate goal of preventing
or delaying the onset of dementia cases.

The utilization of metaphor was employed to craft narratives that
introduce novel perspectives. Metaphor facilitates the comprehension
of unfamiliar issues by likening them to familiar scenarios,
thereby enabling the exploration of problems from unconventional angles.

In the practical aspect of the thesis, a collaborative approach was
pursued to empower individuals affected by dementia. Through the
organization of tapestry workshops across various institutions involving participants with dementia, a tangible artifact was developed based on the outcomes of these workshops.

The culmination of this effort was an exhibition showcasing the
co-created piece, aimed at destigmatizing dementia and fostering
awareness among the broader public.
